Boating blazers
The term ‘blazer’ is often synonymous with the boating jackets or boating blazers worn at rowing events and by rowing teams. Such boating blazers are casually-cut suit jackets with patch pockets and metal buttons. Boating blazers are also often made from a material with a high-micron count to ensure the durability of the sports jacket. Traditionally, boating blazers consisted of two different garments. One was a single-breasted jacket of bright, striped cloth with contrast colour piping, usually worn for the actual sport of rowing. The second garment was a double-breasted, dark navy blazer with metal buttons.
